Arkansas State Science
& Engineering Fair

WHO WE ARE

Our Mission and Vision
Tomorrow’s science workforce is being created today. ASSEF is making that happen! We inspire future problem solvers in science and engineering, developing critical thinkers who can analyze and understand the world around them, whatever field they pursue.

OUR HISTORY

For 70 years, the association has been Arkansas premiere pre-collegiate STEM competition. The association supports students and educators in a year-long journey. Regardless of background and resources, students are able to showcase their independent research projects and innovative ideas while engaging with professional scientists and engineers.

OUR FUTURE

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ASSEF relies on the generous donations of like-minded organizations to further our work in inspiring and empowering students across Arkansas. This young talent becomes the future pipeline of STEM workers and leaders in Arkansas and beyond.

Study of chemical basis of processes occurring in living organisms, including processes by which substances enter into, or are formed in, the organisms and react with each other & environment.

This is an interdisciplinary field that studies the structure, function, intracellular pathways, and formation of cells.

Studies exploring the science of the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter not involving biochemical systems.

Algorithms, data bases, ai, networking and communications, computational science, graphics, software engineering, programming languages, operating system.
